Our Kiri and Poplar wood comes in 1m by 2m, 18mm thick pre-glued panels. They are sanded to 120 grit. Kiri wood has a large color and grain variation from tan to cream, whereas Poplar wood is more consistently light and straight grain. They take stains and colors very well and are very lightweight.
Kiri is popularity used in Japan for construction, cabinetry, and household goods. Poplar is the used in the United States for the same utilitarian purposes. Both are solid hardwoods.
We also have a stock of smaller slab pieces. If you’re in the market for cutting boards and you have an interest in doing things yourself (or have us to help you along in the process), we have the largest selection of solid hardwood slabs that are ready for you to use. They are all unique so come take a look at our studio in Kwun Tong!
