Pairing food with deep sweeping grain of hardwood

Our team of designers at SPRUE Bespoke Furniture worked with Baked to create a warm and inviting local atmosphere – like a neighborhood hangout spot. Three book matched Siberian Elm live edge slabs were the focal point of the restaurant that was used to flank the sides. The three slabs that were selected because it was cut from the same tree in Poland so the grain of the wood created inviting sweep lines that goes all the way to the back of the interior, like the wafting scent of a freshly brewed coffee.

They are properly air dried in the mountainous cold climate for years to have minimal splitting and cracking. Then surface treated and reinforced underneath by custom designed steel legs.

Space was limited. Our designers carefully selected designs and materials that would suit the space, while considering the functionality, ergonomics and space efficiency of each piece. Our team hand crafted a total of 23 uniquely designed stools for the restaurant with matching hardwood elm seats. As always all the pieces were made in Hong Kong by local designers.
